She reflects on her experience of what she calls \u201ca spectacular start!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walking through the gates this morning felt like stepping into a living festival. The sound of drums, the rhythmic beat of drummies and the lively notes of marimba instruments echoed through the air as schoolchildren from across Ehlanzeni proudly performed cultural dances.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You could feel the heartbeat of our province in every performance. Their vibrant traditional attire, from colourful Shangaan outfits to elegant Swati wraps and <em>imvunulo<\/em>, reminded us of the beauty of Mpumalanga\u2019s rich and diverse cultures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This wasn\u2019t just a show, it was a moment where heritage and pride came alive. Each group told a story through song and dance, giving attendees a front-row seat to traditions passed down for generations. The crowd clapped along, cheered and even joined in the dancing at times, creating an atmosphere that was as warm and welcoming a s it was exciting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the Mpumalanga Show is much more than cultural performances, it\u2019s a three-day celebration of everything our province has to offer. The Mpumalanga Show is held annually at the Mbombela Stadium in Mbombela, showcasing key sectors such as agriculture, wildlife, forestry, mining, and tourism. The event enjoys support from multiple sponsors, with the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs serving as a strategic partner<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Something for everyone<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The children\u2019s entertainment area was buzzing all day, with little ones bouncing on jumping castles, giggling on merry-go-rounds and racing from one activity to the next. It was pure joy, the&nbsp; carefree fun that makes childhood memories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parents and teens had plenty to enjoy as well. From stalls selling handmade crafts and stylish clothing to car dealerships showcasing the latest models, there was something to catch everyone\u2019s eye. One moment you\u2019re admiring a shiny new SUV; the next, you\u2019re tasting locally made treats or watching a young performance of marimba dance from school children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Food lover\u2019s dream<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, no event is complete without good food and here, the options were endless. The smell of boerewors sizzling on open fires mixed with the sweet scent of pancakes and vetkoek. Food trucks and pop-up stalls offered everything from traditional African dishes to burgers, chips and sweet treats. Visitors were spoilt for choice and the queues proved just how much everyone was enjoying the feast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Families spread out on the grass with their meals, chatting and laughing while soaking in the lively atmosphere. It felt less like an event and more like one giant community picnic except with way more options!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>More than just fun<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What makes the Mpumalanga Show special is that it\u2019s not just about having fun, it\u2019s about bringing people together and showcasing what this province is capable of. From big-name companies to small local entrepreneurs, the event is a platform for businesses to connect with the community and with each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s also a space for learning. Exhibitors are on-site to talk about their products and services, answer questions and share information. Whether you\u2019re curious about the latest farming technology, looking for a new car or exploring business opportunities, this is the place to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mpumalanga Show is a rare chance to experience our province in all its glory, culture, food, business, entertainment and community spirit all in one space.
