Sharpshooters triumphed 5-4 in a tense penalty shootout. Meanwhile, Botleng United secured their place in the semi-finals with a solid 2-1 win over Young Gunz, while Mndeni FC edged out Barcelona in a close 3-2 encounter. The quarter-final match between Abracadabra and Arsenal also ended in a 2-2 draw, setting the stage for an exciting semi-final round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the semi-finals, Mndeni FC continued their impressive form, drawing 2-2 again with Sharpshooters before winning 5-4 on penalties. Botleng United also advanced to the final with a convincing 2-0 victory over Arsenal, showing strength and teamwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final was a thrilling showdown between Mndeni FC and Botleng United. The teams battled fiercely, finishing regular time at 2-2. In a dramatic penalty shootout, Mndeni FC prevailed 5-4 to claim the tournament title.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hconline.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2025\/07\/IMG_3136.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5201\" style=\"width:303px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Dumisani Sibiya, affectionately known as Skitom, assistant coach of Mndeni FC, expressed satisfaction with the team\u2019s performance despite challenges faced. \u201cI\u2019m 100% happy with the team\u2019s performance. The tournament was good even though we lost a few matches. I want to thank the organisers for a great tournament,\u201d he said. He also highlighted the importance of these matches as preparation for the upcoming ABC Motsepe Playoffs scheduled for July 12 and 13 at Lynville Stadium in Witbank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sylvester Masilela, popularly known as \u201cBabsie,\u201d coach of Botleng United, praised his players for their efforts throughout the tournament. \u201cI\u2019m pleased with our overall performance and the results we\u2019ve achieved. Well done to everyone for the effort and commitment shown,\u201d he remarked. However, he acknowledged the need to strengthen the squad for future challenges. \u201cThis will help us avoid relying on penalties, especially when facing tougher opponents,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tournament was organised by the Vukuzenzele Youth Activism NPC, highlighting its commitment to reviving local football and providing positive activities for youth.
