DELMAS –<\/strong> Vukuzenzele Growth Foundation is making change in Delmas communities through their gardening program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are turning neglected spaces into gardens, sustain the environment and promoting health and farming skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The organization clears rubbish and debris from the community and making them safe for gardening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Young people learn farming skills and help grow fresh produce which is then shared with families in need, volunteers and members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thokozani Mahlangu, Vukuzenzele Growth Foundation CEO and Director told the paper they sustain, maintain and develop infrastructure.  “We solve problems affecting the community\u2019s livelihood, health and development and we liaise with companies to assist the community in employment and skills opportunities,” he said<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mahlangu further stated they have been assisting young people with varsity and NSFAS applications or registrations and have also been cleaning the community of Vukuzenzele since 2022 (Vukuzenzele clean-up campaign). “We try to do more for our community and surrounding communities,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vukuzenzele organisation partners with other organizations, like Seriti\u2019s farming learnership program as they aim to empower young people to become farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The organization\u2019s small plots show that even small spaces can make a big difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vukuzenzele\u2019s gardening project brings hope and sustainability to their community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By changing polluted areas into gardens and improve the environment and people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
