The donation, handed over on July 24, 2024 in the Makause section, included movable toilets, crayons, and colouring books, courtesy of Sanitech. Waya-Waya was founded two years ago by Lucas &#8220;Chips&#8221; Motswene to create a nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and break free from the cycle of poverty. Motswene told the <strong><em>Highveld Chronicle <\/em><\/strong>that no child should be left behind due to their parents&#8217; social status. &#8220;This cr\u00e8che is not funded by the municipality or any local stakeholders in Phola, yet we provide breakfast and lunch for free for 150 learners,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We are very grateful to Samaritans like Sanitech for remembering us. We only had one toilet to cater for almost 200 people, including aftercare students.&#8221; He further stated that the day care centre offers non-fee early childhood learning and now fully complies with hygiene and health standards. The centre provides unique services benefiting less privileged children from destitute families. &#8220;Their parents cannot afford normal day care fees,&#8221; he explained. &#8220;It takes collaborative efforts to uplift struggling communities, making a significant and inspiring impact.&#8221; The centre also includes aftercare services for local kids needing assistance with school assignments, access to free Wi-Fi for research purposes, a library, and printing and scanning facilities. Sanitech supervisor Kenneth Mokwana explained their decision to assist Waya-Waya. &#8220;The little we have is the best we can do, as we are still growing.
